We developed a custom Excel automation solution powered by Python and Yahoo Finance.
The system allows users to enter one or more stock tickers directly into Excel. Behind the scenes, Python automatically retrieves the latest market data, including stock prices and key inputs required for options valuation.
We then integrated the Black-Scholes-Merton (BSM) model directly into the workflow, enabling the spreadsheet to automatically calculate theoretical option values based on live market data and user-defined assumptions.
The solution was designed to work seamlessly within Excel, allowing analysts to continue using familiar tools while eliminating manual data collection and repetitive calculations.
